On our way out to Observation point, Mintze heard a sound liike a squirrel
scurrying up a tree, so we stopped and peered into the forest, only to
see this decidedly non-squirrel lazily scratching his way up the tree.
It's hard to tell scale, but this puppy was about four feet long and quite
intimidating, a perfect specimen of the Australian Moniter Lizard. We
quickly stopped offering treats to the local wildlife. |
