The Preacher's Tale
full seven fold, the preacher
cried,
and while he lied the tale was told
of princely lust, and heaven's gain
the pirate's reign, a woman's trust
a life of trial, love and heartache
stayed for her sake, for a while
but ups have downs, the worse for wear
there is no fair, just grays and browns
while ladies cry and strong men age
the wisest mage cannot tell why
the preacher cried, when he was told
how even old, he'd been denied
